SPRING ITEM, SCENT OF LOVE

Among the five senses, the most stimulating sense irritating human central nervous system is incense. The smell of a former lover passed down from a stranger, which reminds me of memories in love with scent memories. Thus an attractive scent that attracts the people in power trying to find your own fragrance is not a light task. No matter how good the fragrance according to your taste likes and dislikes is divided. Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld is known for asking his models to do some strange and creative things on the runway and in fashion editorials, but the Chanel Spring 2012 ad campaign has to be one of the most interesting editorials to date.

Supermodels Joan Smalls and Saskia de Brauw star as the faces of the campaign (taking over for Freja Beha Erichsen, who was the face of Chanel for a few seasons), and the two models look stunning in these black and white shots.

Set above a body of water, de Brauw and Smalls take on the roles of gymnasts posing on balance beams and looking ever so chic as they do so. Shot at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc by Mr. Lagerfeld himself, the Chanel Spring 2012 ad campaign is truly memorable

Sundaes replace last season’s puppies in these just-released images of the print ads, which were also shot by Steven Meisel and star Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher. Jacobs told WWD, “It is all very soft and very sweet, yet at the same time very bold and very graphic.” It’s an accurate description–we’ve never seen an ad campaign be so in-your-face about its sweetness and girlyness–and we love it.
